On blogging

I've been thinking about blogging lately. Why no one blogs anymore, why I don't blog anymore. Wondering if Facebook has taken place of blogging? Do we really only have time to read one liners about someones life, do we only have time to write one liners?

Would anyone read my blog if I started writing again? Would I have anything to say? Why do I continue to read the blogs I do? Here are some more thoughts

  • I feel a lot of pressure when blogging, like I have to say something profound- something worthy of blogging - most of the time I don't have anything - that is also why I don't post on Facebook.
  • The blogs I read don't often have anything profound to say - they write consistently, usually about the day, thoughts, observations and the like. Or they have a purpose - like a daily recipe, craft or on the topic of faith.

I would like to say that I am now going to commit to blogging more, but I can not. I do however miss blogging and it gives me satisfaction, so maybe out of that enjoyment I will blog more . . . who knows?
