I survived!

I survived my first week of grad school. I have completed day 1 and 2 of graduated school. Monday morning I woke and drove and attended Principles and Techniques I. The class seems promising and informative. Enjoy the professor and look forward to what the semester will hold. Thursday I woke and drove and attended spiritual and Clinical Praxis I. This class leaves me with some mixed feelings and thoughts. While a great class, it is all overwhelming. Within the first five minutes the professor started lecturing. I felt somewhat lost and there was no foundation (in my opinion) for the lecture. I didn't see the big picture about how it was connecting to everything. So that was 9am to 12pm. Then I had an hour break and attended Human Growth and Development. I am very excited about this class and think I will enjoy it. That class ended at 4pm and then I had a two hour break, and went back for more. This class was with the same professor who taught my morning class, so I was a little worried. But I had done all 200 pages of reading that was required for the first day, so I should have been in good hands. This class titled Intro to Marriage and Family Therapy went pretty well. So at 9pm I drive home very tired and having a very full and mushy brain with words like systemic and integration floating around in it. Anyways just wanted to share my first week. I am excited about all this semester and journey holds, but a little nervous too. I'll keep you posted along the way.

In other news I am looking for a job. And a new appartment. Lots of change. And I hope to be more regular with my blog as I will be settled in Portland for some time. Josh and I had a great time visiting his parents two weeks ago. While there we got to celebrate their anniversary with them, see his brother and sister-in-law, attend a wedding of two of Josh's youth group friends (although they are not youth anymore) and get some rest and relaxation.

Trinity is pretty advance, but she has not yet finished grad school! That was me talking. Sorry - I need to pay more attention to who has been using my computer!
